During the Winter of 2010, Heidi set out on her own to create a new space for herself and like-minded people.

The idea behind Mockingbird Salon was pretty simple and formed by her passion for the industry, a comfortable, safe place to grow in, and happiness!

Years of growing up in Florida, along with her love of music, art, and travel naturally shaped her style of work and the feel of the space she wanted to create. When moving up north, she wanted to bring something familiar from home: the Florida state bird, a Mockingbird!

Heidi continues to uphold her beliefs in mentoring her team and their growth in the hair industry. Education has always been one of the major driving forces behind the creative path. Mockingbird is now reaching beyond our unique space and providing different levels of education to professionals, and non-professionals, who want to cultivate something new.
