Born and raised in Florida. Finally at home in the City of Brotherly Love.
The majority of my professional foundation stems from training with Aveda and Bumble & Bumble. After being in the hair industry for over 24 years, I've come to connect with a deeper appreciation for my craft. Mastering razor cuts and curly textures has given me the creative freedom I enjoy through developing an individualized look for each of my clients. After years of mentoring and styling in different salon environments, my path has led me to create Mockingbird Salon, where I continue to share my knowledge.

Since the age of 10, I have always been surrounded by hair, spending my Saturdays helping around my aunt’s shop by sweeping and folding towels.
As I got older, I became interested in painting and knew I needed and wanted to be in a creative, hands-on industry. After high school, I decided to join the beauty industry to connect to the fashion world in my way. Since then, I’ve been in the industry for nine years and couldn’t imagine doing anything else. I’ve been granted many excellent opportunities, from educating with Wella Professionals to receiving extensive training through Oribe, Bumble & Bumble, Kerastase, and more.
My aesthetic is effortlessly cool with a grungy edge. I am passionate about beachy blondes, lived-in looks, and natural texture. Coming from an artistic background, I’ve traded in my canvas for live muses to wear my art daily.

Being born and raised in South Philly, it's nice to be so close to home here at Mockingbird Salon. I graduated from cosmetology school in 2009 and have spent my time specializing in blowouts, up-dos, and special occasion events. I also have a passion for razor cutting and lived-in blonde looks.
When I'm not in the salon, I’m spending quality time with my son, Evan. We love to draw together and play with our many pets with my boyfriend, John.

Hi, I’m Abbey! I’m originally from South Jersey but moved to Philly for a more eclectic, diverse lifestyle and exciting work environment.
I graduated from cosmetology school in 2019, so I’ve been in the hair world for four years. My passion for cutting hair has blossomed since starting at Mockingbird over two years ago. I love curly and razor cutting, styling, and helping clients embrace their natural texture. I’m continually furthering my education with the goal of becoming a haircutting specialist.
Outside of work, I chill with my cat, paint, collaborate, and enjoy the Philly DIY music scene with my friends. Otherwise, I’m always searching for the best Black Iced Tea in Philadelphia.

I first moved to Philadelphia, PA, from my hometown on Long Island, NY, in 2018. With a brief stay in New England from 2019-2020, I became drawn to the phrase “trust the process.”
My chair is a safe space for everyone, and I pride myself on having meaningful relationships with my clients. I feel so lucky to have found a salon like Mockingbird, which emanates warm and inviting energy from the moment you step inside. The ability to learn from my peers and witness new, exciting tools or techniques inspires me daily to be a better stylist.
I love challenging myself and giving my clients exactly what they want. Whether that’s alternative anime-inspired razor cuts, embracing your natural texture, layered low-maintenance cuts, or colors and bold vivids. See you in my chair soon!

Hair has been a creative expression for me for as long as I can remember. Growing up as a queer person in a small town, I am particularly passionate about providing gender-affirming hair services to people of all backgrounds and expressions. A passion to expand this art form to others led me to move to Philadelphia and pursue a formal education at Jean Madeline.
From there, I was particularly drawn to the inclusive, eclectic vibe of Mockingbird Salon. Here, I've begun to fully pursue my dream of helping people improve their self-esteem and confidence through hair that makes them feel their most authentic, best selves.
I’m obsessed with edgy razor cuts, layers, texture and curl enhancement, low-maintenance haircuts, and bright, vivid hair color!

I am originally from Queens, NY (Go Mets!). I have spent half my life bopping around the East Coast. South Philly is home now. I'm a mom to an incredible human, Mazzy.
I've been in this Industry since I was 15 years old. I grew up in hair... I remember watching my great-grandmother foil my mom's hair in our living room. She was and will always be a massive inspiration to me. For as long as I can remember, I have had a passion for creating. Any medium, be it clay, oil paint, car tinkering, or hair, my hands like to stay busy.
I am very passionate about what I do and who YOU are. That being said, I can be chatty. If you prefer a quiet appointment, please feel free to request one. I aim to give you an incredible experience, from consultation to head massage to a finished look.
I focus on creating beautiful lived-in looks with Balayage and creating fluid, vivid hair with purposeful placement. I love cutting classic, effortless shapes, be it blunt bobs/lobs or creating texture and movement with a shags. Last but not least, I love Pixies and classic barbering shapes.

I got into hair as a girl; I always did my friend’s hair in our bedroom dorms. After finishing college, I decided to leap into attending Cosmetology school! My desire to interact and engage with people and give them a new, fantastic look is fulfilling!
I moved from Washington State with my Dalmatian, Nelly. On certain days, you can meet her at the salon with me! She loves greeting clients and finding sunny places to nap in the salon.
I love blonding, long-layer looks, and lived-in colors. I look forward to meeting you and helping you accomplish your hair goals!
